Metz Fresh announced a voluntarily recall of its 10 oz. and 16 oz. bags of spinach after salmonella was found during routine testing. While salmonella was only discovered on one of the three packing lines, the company decided to recall all of the spinach bagged that day.

The recalled bags of spinach have the following tracking codes: 12208114, 12208214 and 12208314. The company advises consumers to discard the spinach or return the products to the store for a refund.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is working with Metz Fresh to figure out which states may have received shipments of the recalled bags of spinach.

To date, there have been no reports of illness associated with the recalled spinach.
